Meditation is something everyone can do, here's how. Find a place to sit that is calm and quiet for you. Meditation is a lifelong journey, and every journey begins with a first step. In the Headspace app, that first step leads you to the Basics, a three-part course that is designed to be the foundation of your practice.
Basics 1, 2 and 3, in which you will learn the techniques that will be used in the series of exercises in all the courses, consist of 10 sessions each, and while you are not required to complete all levels, it is recommended that you take the time to work through each stage to familiarise yourself with Headspace's meditation and teaching style. Start at the top of the head. Slowly and deliberately bring your attention to the surface of your skin, one centimetre at a time. See if you can feel your scalp, ears, eyelids and nose.
Continue in this way, moving down your face, over your ears, down your neck and shoulders and down to your toes.
